These conditions can completely change your life. Everything becomes harder than it’s supposed to be. Simple things become overwhelming.

But here’s the thing. You can heal.

Clinical Hypnotherapy is one of the most effective (and safe) ways to help you process and heal because it works with your mind and your nervous system. It uses psychotherapy to equip you with powerful self-management skills, and it uses hypnosis to update your emotional & physical conditioning so that you don’t just know better, but you also feel better. This is the key to real healing and lasting change.

You won’t ever be the same as before, but you can be better than you were. Stronger. Wiser. Integrated.

It will feel like you are coming home to yourself.

“Trauma is a fact of life. It does not, however, have to be a life sentence. Not only can trauma be healed… it can be transformative. Trauma has the potential to be one of the most significant forces for psychological, social, and spiritual awakening” - Peter Levine

When we try to change, we usually try using willpower. It can work. For a while.

But what happens the second we get tired, stressed, distracted, or emotional? We find ourselves right back in the middle of old patterns.

This is because we are literally fighting a part of ourselves.

We are trying to use our conscious mind to overpower our unconscious conditioning. We are fighting our own habits, nervous system, and unconscious beliefs.

Instead, Clinical Hypnotherapy uses psychotherapy to help you develop powerful high-performance strategies, and hypnosis to help you update your emotional & physical conditioning so that you are no longer fighting yourself. When you align your conscious willpower with your unconscious conditioning, you will experience deep change and exponential progress.

When you do the deep work, high-performance becomes who you are.

‘Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate’ - Carl Jung

What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?

How many times have you talked about your problems and you understand the situation logically, but your body still reacts negatively? This is because conditions like anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic fatigue come with emotional & physical conditioning that need to be updated in order for us to truly heal. Otherwise we are just managing the symptoms.

This is what makes Clinical Hypnotherapy so effective. It uses psychotherapy (such as cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, reframing, psycho-education, and nervous system techniques) to help teach you powerful self-management skills, and it uses hypnosis to help you update your emotional & physical conditioning so that you can truly heal and move on with your life.

This holistic approach works with your conscious mind and your unconscious conditioning to help you experience embodied, integrated, and deep change.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is just a specific state of focus. Everyone can go into hypnosis because they already do it all the time.

‘You are driving home at night after a dinner party and you are surprised at how much fun you had. It was a refreshingly good time. You breathe in deeply as you re-live the best parts of the night. Suddenly you realise that you are already pulling into your driveway at home. You were so focused on your thoughts that you didn’t really notice the whole drive home. Part of you hopes that you didn’t go through three red lights or run over an old lady.’

‘You are going for a walk and you randomly remember something that happened to you last week at work. You can’t believe that they did that to you. In front of other people. As you keep thinking about it, you start to feel angry. You even feel a little embarrassed. You start to imagine all the different ways you should have responded. All the things you could have done. Then you laugh and feel a little better as you imagine how everyone would react if you had actually acted that way in real life.’

These are examples of hypnosis. You were absorbed in a mental scenario and yet your emotional & physical conditioning reacted to what was happening in your mind. Also, you were focused in your mind so that everything else seemed to fade to the background slightly, creating focus and disassociation at the same time. That is hypnosis.

These examples of hypnosis show us that:

 1. Everyone can go into hypnosis because they do it all the time, every day. If you can have a memory then you can (and already have) experienced hypnosis.

 2. Hypnosis is not something that someone else can force you into or use to control you. It’s a particular state of focus that you create in your own mind. Just like no one can force you into a state of meditation, no one can force you into hypnosis.

 3. Hypnosis can be incredibly enjoyable, just like re-living your favourite memories.

Why Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is incredibly powerful because it’s experiential. Notice how when you think of a strong memory, you have strong physical and emotional reactions. This means that hypnosis can be used to access and then powerfully update your nervous system conditioning.

This is profound because it’s your emotional and physical conditioning that is at the root of most conditions and core behaviours. This is why knowledge alone is not enough to create deep and lasting change.

How many times have you known what you want, but you just cant seem to make it happen? It’s like you are fighting a part of yourself. Because you are. You are fighting your own nervous system, habits, and conditioning.

Instead, Clinical Hypnotherapy works with your conscious mind and helps update your unconscious conditioning to help you achieve deep and embodied change. It goes beyond just simple ‘head knowledge’ and understanding your situation intellectually. As mentioned earlier, you won’t just know better, you will also feel better. This is the key to deep healing and change.

What will a session look like?

Clinical Hypnotherapy sessions are tailored to meet your specific needs. However, most sessions will typically start with psychotherapy to help explore your situation. Targeted hypnosis will then be used where required to help facilitate deep healing and change.

Most importantly, you will be safe and in control the whole time.
